Medical Weight Loss

*  Do you wake up depressed?

*  Are you tired before noon?

*  Do you crave sugar a lot?

*  Are you overweight?

If you’ve struggled to lose weight only to gain it back, you are not alone.  Reach your weight-loss goals...and stay there – quickly and safely.  We will help you to lose the weight – and more importantly, keep it off.  We start by assessing your health, weight, and body composition to identify your target goal weight and the program that is right for you.

Proven Methods - Sustained Weight Loss:  Our programs will help you rapidly lose 3-7 pounds weekly and maintain losses, with permanent new lifestyle changes, the proven way to keep pounds off.    And if you have medical conditions associated with your extra weight, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and arthritis, we will help improve your health while you lose the weight.

HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) is a natural hormone our brains produce, which taps into fat stores when we need to – such as walking up the stairs. Elevated HCG levels allow your body to release greater fat stores so you can safely restrict calories without slowing your metabolism - AND, you won’t feel starved. The extra calories from your stored fat will feed you, in addition to your new healthy diet.

  • Normal food: No need for diet pills, shakes, appetite suppressants, or surgery.  The diet is protein, fruit, and vegetables.  After the diet, we gradually increase calories then re-introduce carbs and good fats – all while maintaining your new weight loss.   At program’s end, you will be eating normally and maintaining weight with a normal amount of calories – a sustained weight loss that means you don’t have to rely on will power anymore!

Hunger Hormones

Leptin is a hormone, made by fat cells, that decreases your appetite. Ghrelin is a hormone that increases appetite, and also plays a role in body weight.  Are there ways to control our hunger hormones to rein in our appetites? Possibly -- by eating healthy foods and by getting enough sleep.

Vitamin Injections

About 30 percent of people 50 and older have atrophic gastritis – stomach inflammation that reduces gastric secretion that allows B12 to be absorbed from food such as fish, meats, poultry, eggs, milk, and milk products.

Lack of vitamin B12 is also an issue when people reduce calories.

Studies prove that vitamin injections’ absorption/retention rate is much higher, with faster and more efficient results than tablets and gel caps since tablets and gels are not entirely digested by acids and enzymes.

The medical weight-loss programs are NOT insured by OHIP.
